Pregnant goats

Pregnant goats

October eleventh:

I’ve been preparing the pregnant goats for their upcoming kidding next month. I’ve placed them in a separate pen so I can feed them more. I’ve given them coccidia prevention medication., CDT shots and wormed them. Today I gave them intranasal vaccine against viruses- this helps prevent pneumonia. I’ve purchased supplies as well- a new dehorning iron, kelp, more worming medication and coccidia prevention medication. We’re excited about kidding!

Today I also cleaned out the rabbit pen and did the fall sheep maintenance. I trimmed all their hooves and crutched them (snipped the wool off their butts). I wormed the ones that needed it and gave them intranasal vaccine. I’m exhausted!
