The Versatile Blogger award

Per my awarder, “As I have learned there are a few rules I must follow as a recipient of this award. I must Thank the person who gave it me(done). Share something about myself (coming up) and pass it on and let them know. (that will be at the end)”

I received this award from Cattle Call Farm Blog.  This is an amazing blog about a single mother with the help of her father running a large cattle farm (with assorted other critters).  Thank you!

About myself, I am a middle aged married woman who grew up in the suburbs of Seattle and for some odd reason decided I wanted to live on a farm and raise animals, vegetables and fruit.  I started this pursuit when I was single and thankfully met my loving, tolerant, hard-working and knowledgeable husband, and things have progressed from there.   Now we have probably maxed out our workload and will either be scaling back or holding steady, for the time being.  I love having a small farm and the work, seasons and interspecies interactions that it brings.  But we do not depend on it for our income although we do produce a sizable amount of our food as well as money to cover feed, supplies and veterinary costs.  I wouldn’t trade it for the whole world.

I would like to pass this award on to:

Beyond the Sidewalks

Front Porch Indiana

in Sheeps Clothing

Silveraurora Shetland Sheep

These are great blogs that I follow and would like to know a little more about the people behind the stories.

Why thank you very much. I enjoy your blog too. I will post on this when I can. I am right in the middle of wedding showers and traveling for my son’s wedding so I’m short on time and long on stress.
Thank you! It means a lot to me that you like my little stories.
