Weaving Again!

I am weaving again!  I had my spinal steroid injection yesterday, and the very clear instructions are “for the next 48 hours, minimal bending, minimal walking and no resting in bed during the day”.  So since I can’t walk or lay down, that means I can sit!  Which means I can weave.  I haven’t used my loom for at least 3 months now.  I got to continue on making large placemats.  These are out of grey Shetland yarn I won from Whoamule Farm and our CVM, California Red and Gotland yarns.  It’s only for 48 hours, but it sure is nice.

In other news, our temperatures have risen to above freezing.  This means our ground is starting to thaw and we do not have to break ice off the water tubs every day.  Mr. D. can drink ice chunk-free water.  Unfortunately, a cold front is supposed to come in tomorrow again with the possibility of snow.  So we will be back to the ice breaking routine again.  The sheep sure like their hay this time of year.

What is the reason for the grate over the hay? Looks kind of difficult for the sheep to get the hay.

I like that hay feeding system. My goats make such a mess with theirs. Enjoy your 48 hours, and I hope the shot helps!

What happens if you rest in bed during the day?

Glad you can sit, and resume something you enjoy! My brother had the steroid injection and it helped him A LOT.
Interesting hay feeding set up. I like it. Continue to get better, and hopefully the new year will be less painful!
