Yesterday was fall sheep maintenance day. You can see how much Wilma is enjoying the experience. We trimmed all their hooves, gave them Nasalgen (nasal live virus vaccine), and administered worming medication. I was thinking yesterday that since we now get help with shearing, this is probably the hardest work we do on the farm now apart from putting up the hay. In the process the sheep were evaluated. No one is pregnant from the ram break out of 4 1/2 months ago and no health surprises. All of the sheep sickened by the chicken feed episode appear to have recovered completely. So the sheep are now winterized!
P.S.: My grandparents were both admitted to a nursing home this week (Tuesday and yesterday). The process began when my grandmother fell at home and broke her pelvis. So please send healing thoughts and prayers for them to recuperate.
