I took the other half and dyed it purple using the same brand of dye.
I then took Dixie’s double coated light grey fleece, washed it and dyed it blue using the same brand.
I then carded each color separate on my drum carder. Here’s the purple.
I then carded each color on the drum carder. See the top photo. I pulled the wool off the carder with a diz to make roving.
Finally I place the roving (about 5 ounces per bag) into compostable bags for sale.
Here is a close up.
We will be selling this roving as well as natural colored roving and yarn in addition to produce at the Bow Little Market from 1-6 most every Thursday through the summer. It is near the corner of Old Highway 99, Prairie and Bow Hill Roads in Skagit County, Washington. Stop by and say hi if you are in the area.
PS Illness update. The lambs are doing better. Bambam is back to normal and Patsy is standing and walking more and more, although is still weak. Thank you all for your help and support.
