Ill Lil on Super Bowl Sunday

Ill LilTanya recovered completely from her episode so now I think she was just cast.  But today we found Lil, our La Mancha goat, with neurologic issues.  She did not come in with the other goats, which is quite common, and we found her near the fence wagging her tail so I thought she might be in heat.  But then we noticed that she is holding her neck oddly and stiff and has an uncoordinated gait.  She seems confused.  So we moved her into a pen and treated her for Listeria and polioencephalomalacia but in her case I am really worried it is a head injury.

Yesterday was butcher day (one cow and two pigs).  We had the goats locked in the barn for a while during this process, and the bigger meaner goats may have butted her.  If that is the case there is not much I can do.  I sure hope she starts feeling and acting better.

I am also not feeling well (although now as bad as Lil).  I have an upset stomach.  This does not bode well for the Skittles Vodka and Chili I was planning on consuming today.  Oh well.  Here is our Super Bowl selfy:

Oh No! I hope Lil is better soon. Hopefully your tummy settles; it seems to be going around. Do they make that Skittle Vodka in a sugar free version? I can’t imagine they do. Or is that something that IN the chili? Sounds good….

Thanks Liz! I hope she gets better too. My stomach settled a little with some Pepto. Enough to try the Skittles Vodka. And it is definitely not sugar free. And it was hard to find Skittles yesterday. Haven’t had the chili yet, hope it will be good. Go Hawks!

I wonder if DMSO would work for Lil; Rick uses it (IV, I think) for horses with head trauma sometimes.

Hope the upset stomach was just pre-game nerves! So do you just add skittles to the vodka,, or is there more to it than that?
