I had told Michelle that I thought the lengths of the seasons were perfect, but I have now changed my mind. I went out this morning to do the animals chores and decided it would be a good day to do llama maintenance. So I was pulling the tarp off of the llama stanchion and without warning was stung by multiple wasps on my upper lip. I had not realized there was a nest under there. I have been stung many times before, but this one hurt like crazy. I poured cold water on it then went into the house to take Benadryl and put an ice cube on it. Meanwhile Tom took care of the wasps nests.
The pain is subsiding somewhat, but the swelling is getting worse. Here it is about one hour afterwards.
Now I am in a Benadryl haze and not able to accomplish much today. This has been a traumatic summer for us, and I am quite ready for it to be over!
Oh no!!!
Thanks Michelle! The swelling and the haze are lessening.
Ouch! Dang! Damn wasps!
Usually the wasps stings do not bother me this much. I think I had 2-3 at once. Plus Tom says they can bite too. It felt like that.
Yikes! I don’t blame you for wanting summer to over!!
Thanks Jackie! Between fires, heat, blackberry thorns and wasps, I have had enough.
Ouch! I’m also over summer. Bring on the autumn! Feel better soon, Donna.
Thanks Liz! May face puffed up badly last night including my eyelid so I cannot work today. This sucks.
