Reuben Died

He was one of our oldest sheep.  I purchased him from Kim Kerley in August 1999 as a companion for my ram Loki.

He was never friendly but also never poorly behaved.

He always had gorgeous wool even when he was older.

He had tightly curled horns that needed trimming when he was younger.  He always seemed a little smarter than the other sheep but also a little sadder.

I will miss him dearly.

So sorry Donna, Reuben sounds like he was a lovely member of the flock. Fifteen is a great old age, but never easy to say goodbye to the old characters. I have a couple that turn fourteen this year and it’s going to be very very hard when they pass.

    Take care,

Dear Donna…sending blessings to you and to Reuben, now certain to be running free in endless green pastures. The longer their time with us, the stronger the bond. And we love them more each year.

  3. A worthy tribute for a worthy animal, Donna.

Goodbye sweet Reuben. I’m so glad I had the chance to enjoy your beautiful fleece.
