Merry Merry Christmas to all two-leggeds and 4-leggeds at Schoonover Farm! I, too, enjoy reading your blogs, but get saddened at each loss. Recently, I read that Lewis had passed. Did he die of natural causes? Are any of you his offspring?
I hope to meet each of you personally some day. But in the meantime, I am enjoying spinning some of your fleeces. Today I am spinning Lewis, which I absolutely love: His dark and light fibers are gorgeous! I have also been spinning Monette’s, Hazlenut’s and Heidi’s. If any of you have a picture you would share, I would love to see it!
Your Shetlands are wonderful. Happy New Year 2016! 😉

Merry Christmas Juanita! Lewis did die of natural causes, old age. We have a few of his offspring. We have 4 lambs out of him, Maybelle, Wynette, Walda and Hodor. We also have two black ewes Mona and Madonna from him and our current friendliest sheep Diddley. So in a way Lewis is still alive here. I am so happy that you are spinning his fleece and are enjoying it. I would love to see what you create with it. I will email you photos of the sheep you have wool from. And I do hope you can visit here some day.

Thanks for posting the picture of the Christmas tree in Yakima! It brings back good memories of taking the train to Yakima for Christmas.
