Yarn for Sale

We have yarn for sale at Schoonover Farm!   They are listed below.  The natural colored is listed first and the hand dyed yarn listed below.  For more information contact me at donnawh@earthlink.net Our sheep have been well taken care of by us to ensure healthy and clean fleeces. They were carefully sheared, and their fleeces dried. I then skirted the fleeces and selected the best ones to include in this yarn. The fleeces were then sent to Stonehedge Fiber Mill and were processed and spun into 2 ply sport yarn. The resulting yarn is soft but durable and would be well suited for knitting.

These are my hand dyed yarns.

Do yo have catalogs? I love your colors of your yarn….

    • Donna says:

      Hello Ethel,

We do not have paper catalogs, just what is on the web site. Thank you for the compliment. And let me know if you have any other questions. I do have more yarn available other than what is shown so if you have a particular color or yarn weight you would like, let me know.

I am interested in 6 skeins of 3 ply gotland-finn and would love to pay for samples of other yarns –

  4. Teresa says:

Ok, disregard my previous request on Hazelnut’s fleece – I think I’d rather have a couple of skeins of the brown shetland instead (from the top of the page.) Would you let me know how much the yarn plus shipping would be for two skeins to Idaho, 83201? Thanks! Teresa

    Hi Donna,
Can you tell me if you have Shetland yarn, preferably sport weight in natural colours – cream, black, or grey?
I live in British Columbia – is that a problem to ship?

    • Donna says:

      Hello Patricia,
I have sport weight Shetland yarn in a light grey and a medium brown. The brown is not light enough to call cream colored. The California Red yarn I have is cream colored. It is not a problem to ship to BC.

    Hello, Patricia,
I saw your site through going site hopping, and thought wow, that is so cool. I once lived out on Lopez Island, and I have got to say that Washington state is truly God’s country. Anyway, do you ever have any of you lighter colored wool spun into fingering wt, or even lace wt? I ask, because I do quite a bit of lace knitting. Many thanks, in advance, for reading this, and replying.

Do you still do brush clearing with the goats? We are in La Conner and would be interested.
    Thank you,
    Peggy

    • Donna says:

      Hello Peggy,

Yes. It is $250 per day. Currently we have 15 goats. We bring portable electric fencing and our camper van to watch over them. So we need to be able to set up these items and there can not be poisonous plants. Let me know if you are still interested.

Love these Donna. I forget if you take paypal?

    Thanks,

    • Donna says:

      I do.

      • Patricia Bell says:

I would like 6-8 skeins of one of the natural colours. Can you tell me which of the sport weight you have in stock?
        Thanks
        Pat

      • Donna says:

I have 6-8 skeins of Wendel’s mioget sport weight yarn. I only have 5 of the black sport weight and less of the others.

      • Patricia Bell says:

Donna, can you tell me what the yarn is like. I only know that double coated fleeces have both course and fine fibre. What is this yarn like? By that I mean what does it feel like? It looks very lustrous in the photo…is it? If so that usually means it feels silky.

We got home from a trip today and I’m going to bed now. I’ll respond tomorrow. Night!

      • Donna says:

It is lustrous and silly as well as double coated. I could send you some as a sample if you would like.

      • Patricia Bell says:

I think I’d like to order some. I’d like 7 skeins please. I’ll be away today, but if you could private message me with the invoice and your details, i’ll send the money via paypal once i get back home.
        Thank you!

      • Donna says:

OK. I will get an invoice ready for you.

      • Patricia Bell says:

        Hi again Donna,
After thinking about it, i’d like 1 more skein. I got your invoice and will pay that one. Please charge me for one more skein. Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience!

        PatB

      • Donna says:

You inquired about purchasing Gotland yarn back in 2011 and must have click on the “send me comments” at that time. If you go to wordpress.com and find what feeds you are subscribed to, you should be able to unsubscribe from this one.

        Hi Donna,

        Thanks

      • Donna says:

Yes I can. I was wondering about that.

        Donna

      • Patricia Bell says:
